No one to blame, but myself - I knew you were roaming with the sprites around, just thought I had enough forces to repel one-two stacks. Also I missed opportunity to attack you first - had perfect chance about 3 turns before you started to move in underground, but got greedy and went for additional quests, which seemed fatal.

Tuss, I was totally devastated yesterday evening, even didn't had strength to turn on the pc. Will do my turn today in the evening. Can you please postpone timer? (if it's on)

Ok judges' conclusion is that you can play your turn and continue now. Please verify a "turn reloaded" is displayed in the email notification after the turn is finished. If not, then you don't have any warning obviously, otherwise, we give AlX a warning for reload not justified by proper proof as explained before.
We're getting more and more reports of that bug to Triumph so I hope they'll finally find a way to solve it...

I'm sending you a PM with an additional request. Once you have checked it + reported to the devs, please play your turn normally. If by chance the system then does not display any "reload" in the email notification to Tussel (which happened twice recently so we may be lucky again), then you're good. If not, we have no choice but to give you a warning for reload not justified by adequate proof (as unfortunately, this issue is very hard to prove...). It's not a big deal since the bug is rare and should not happen again.

Yes, pretty much what happened.

I don't even know the state of things yet, as didn't risk to ignore this message.
I will try to do a report to the devs when I am back home (which may be bit late today).

Also, what should I do with the turn then? just ignore the message and play my turn, or do you want to take a look at the message?

If yes, then please report that to the devs here http://aow.triumph.net/forums... (whenever the forum is not down; because it has been down almost all week end) Please also say: size of the save file, game ID, when did you try to download the turn and when it was ready (when Tussel played his turn). That may help debug.
It's very important that everyone experiencing the bug reports it, otherwise the devs think it is rare and do not put resource into fixing it.

You were right to report first before playing your turn. We'll confirm among judges what we do. Meanwhile, please report to devs, hopefully that will help them fix the issue! <smiletext0>

I don't remember doing anything else except usual loading. Although it seemed like loaded longer than usual, as if the connection had disappeared and it was waiting for re-initialising.

I had used the camrecorder and some free win recorders. If I record the full screen - it records only till the point when the game launches and next video is black. And I tried windows as well - but either due to me having steam (like seems the software records steam app instead) or due other issue, it still get's black window.

Either way, I can do steam-session with either of judges and show the current state of things.


@Marcus, I didn't make my turn yet, thought it'd be better to get this sorted with judges

Could also be worth knowing if you sent the turn to Tussel, and if Tussel then see the ironman notification?

In another tournament game we had the false notification appear, could be the same here.

Hi AlX, could you please clarify what steps you followed before getting the Ironman notification? I'm not sure to understand clearly. And what recording software are you using? There should be no problem to record AoW3. Make sure you record the right window and/or record full screen and put AoW3 in windowed mode.

Hello,

it appears I have issue with the Ironmode - I haven't taken a turn before, but when I try to launch the game, I get Ironman notification...
I've tried to record the video of the process, however the recording software doesn't record anything after the game starts, which is frustrating...
Let me know if I need to add any screenshots.

@Tuss can you please take off turn timer? I'd love to wait for the judges verdict

Yes, Tussel please rehost with main branch of the balance mod and do NOT turn on the turn timer at start because it is a known bug that often leads to the turn of the 1st player being skipped. I reported it to Triumph earlier but they didn't investigate... <smiletext6> You can turn it on after 1st turn is played.

It appears that turn was restarted, however now I can not join due to the current game mod being BETA version, although in the rules it is stated:

9. Players must play with the latest official version of the game (no beta). If the official version is updated during the tournament, players must update to it as soon as it is released both on GoG and Steam (and turn timer must be removed while waiting for the GoG release). Players must also play with the PBEM balance mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=661597466. At the beginning of the tournament, v1.2 of the mod will be used. All the games may be updated to a newer version if all the judges deem it to be stable and necessary for game balance (they may require the non-binding opinion of the players through a poll).

In order to avoid advantaging one team or the other, for each match, the team who will host the match was randomly selected. The first team in the "turn order" above (who is also the team on top in the tree here must host the game.

Any of the players in the team can host. The host must play in #2 position in the turn order (please check rules for more details).
