A really great match! We have always been in perfect parity, if I had not made by myself two stupid mistakes now the fate of the game would still be uncertain. In the end I had to surrender, honors to the winner At the next time
Indeed, the game was pretty even at most time, though after I made a decision on attacking dragon vassal, I was pretty sure I was done for. Luckily for me, I managed to get other underground vassals, that supplied me with plenty of gold (and units ). All in all a good match, thanks for the game Hawk, was a pleasure.
Hi, I am overwhelmed by irl stuff ATM, so can probably play my turn only on Wednesday evening. Apologies for this!

Round 4 : 2017 PBEM Duel Tournament #48
Please click here to read the rules. In order to avoid advantaging one team or the other, for each match, the team who will host the match was randomly selected. The first team in the "turn order" above (who is also the team on top in the tree here) must host the game. Tournament Game #48 Round ! When players do not show up for their match, the Tournament Judges have the right to change the match!
The "host starts in #2" has been removed from the rules, so not necessary any more. I recommend it though, to try to get some randomness on who starts.
@Mr. Hawk: I'm curious about which setting you corrected in your 2nd hosting as it seems the settings of the 1st hosting were all good?
To be in teams is a must due to the fact that there is a cosmic event which prohibit you from declaring war. So you can have the absurd case to stand next to each other without being able to attack, due to not being able to declare war! Another reason is that playing an evil alignment would benefit the player declaring war, and therefore have an advantage reaching pure evil and complete empire quest. Same goes if both players play for neutral or good alignment, would damage your happiness.
however, the talk that the host has to start at the second position seems to have been resolved with the patches. Instead, just for curiosity, what's the difference between setting the team in a 1vs1 match?

on a serious note, those are rules, and it's better to abide by them completely.
Instead, just for curiosity, what's the difference between setting the team in a 1vs1 match?
EDIT: Also, I can see that you've launched the game yesterday (before Marcus gave green light) with the wrong settings?
The screenshots provided the first time looked good!
Both players have provided class/race so you are good to go!

Before I had recreated the game because I had noticed a mistake and I forgot to fix the teams
good look
Mr. Hawk, you're hosting, please post the settings. Please remember that you're hosting with the beta branch of the balance mod, not the main branch.
