Confirmed by Ezekiel
Rrrookie mentioned that mobility got him captured - that and turn of events at the naga dwelling. Before that match-up his leader was out adventuring while I managed to attack and conquer his domain with two fronts - one around the middle of the map and another further east with my main armies (with king serpents).
This was one of the better skirmish battles in the middle with summons against a hero and scoundrels:
5 turns later I was pushing around the naga dwelling to complete a good quest (which rrrookie could have prevented - perhaps he didn´t as doing so would put him in risk of a counterattack) getting a matriach plus a baby serpent as reward. These units and some well-ranked shamans shortly after catched up with Bob the leader in an area of wetlands.
Meanwhile AlX had been tracing Johnny´s movements in the UG so we knew that he was eventually going to show up at our doorsteps close to the contested harbour town of Ramenesr - my former vassal. He did that 5-6 turns later. Here he is - before making land fall when AlX and I had quite a discussion regarding if he would spread ice with his frostling ice queen and allow for a swift attack:
Around the same time he was trying to set my leader up close to rrrookie´s former domain - but in the UG where he dwelled. Luckily my leader had cave crawling and barrens running allowing for moving far in the UG without compromising safety to scout out a well-placed trap:
I didn´t bite on that trap, but stayed on the surface to clear more sites and gain strength while performing the planned joint attack as Johnny´s stacks disembarked - it was all or nothing at this time and turned out quite good.
A few turns later Johnny surrendered. Here you go with some screenshots of his superheroes:

I let Jonny down this match. It all started when I killed the hero I was offered on turn 1 without requesting a different hero. I had to wait until turn 7 or 8 to get a hero. From there I kept trying to do too much to catch up with the other players but kept losing units. Ezekiel played very well and his rush and mobility wiped me out.Â

Congratulations to them! Please report the game and get ready for your next game in round 7.
The procedure for the end of the game is:
- when the deadline (see clock here: https://www.the-battlefield.c... is reached, the turn is played up to the last player of the turn (in your case, it's Ezekiel), then this player plays his turn entirely but DO NOT end turn.
- the last player saves & quits and backs up the save (copy the .apg and .~apg from C:\Users\[Windows user name] \Documents\My Games\AoW3\Profiles\[AoW3 user name]\PBEM and paste it to another place)
- the last player then opens the game again, surrenders, takes screenshots of ALL the scores except Seal, and sends them to the judges (Fistandantilus, Markymark and me). Then he sends the game to the next player so that other players can see there was no reload.
- the next player DOES NOT load the game.
- then everyone waits for judges' feedback.
REMINDER: the team with the highest score does not automatically win. The scores must not be judged "very close".
Please let me know if something is unclear.
to complement Eskild's answer - Rrrookie got eliminated, we're playing against Jonny together with Eskild.
Doesn't look like we'll be able to make it in 3.5 days though. I think Eskild is the last in turn order.
Reminder of the procedure in case the games is not finished by that time:
The decision tree described on the Tournament Player Pool will be used: for this round and for this tournament, if the game is not finished by the deadline, then the winner would be decided by comparing in this order: 1/ the combined total (general) score of living players of each team, 2/ the combined military scores of living players of each team, 3/ the combined domain scores of living players of each team. If no team has a clear superiority (not just 1 point more; clear superiority is assessed by the judges) in any of these, then the team with the highest combined total (general) score of living players win (same as 1/ but without need for "clear superiority").
Who is last in turn order in your game? Is it rrrrookie? If yes, then when the deadline is reached, the turn continues up to him, then after having played his turn entirely, he will have to save & quit, back up the save (copy/paste it to another location), then get back into the game, surrender, take screenshots of all the scores and send them to the judges (and save & quit without sending the turn to the next player). We'll then get back to you as soon as possible to give the conclusion.
By the way, what turn did you reach?
Perhaps we should consider removing timer?
Sorry for not writing faster, I hadn't expected to be away from PC for so long, nor did I expect the stuff irl happening.
Without going too much into details- These few days playing was not anywhere near top priorities.
I think it's only fair not to revert, due to the same already happening with Johnny.
Please wait before playing next turn. If the situation is exceptional, @AlX and Ezekiel: please send a PM to the judges to ask for a revert, but in theory, as we explained when it happened to Jonny, reverts are forbidden as allowing them can lead to exploits.
Sorry about that, we need to find ways to deal with our constraints of keeping the tournament within a reasonable time (to avoid losing players after very long time and to allow to launch new tournaments for all the players who got eliminated and new players who joined) and having meaningful and fun matches.
In recent rounds, we've seen a significant drop in speed (in round 3 for instance, we had matches of 56 rounds, and maybe even 70 turns - I didn't double check if it was round 3 or not but at least one match did more than 70 turns - in 10 weeks, the same time you had and yet your game is turn 19 and the other one is only turn 30) and despite this round being 14 weeks instead of the initial 8 weeks of round 1, it's becoming harder and harder to finish matches before the deadline.
Hopefully the speed can increase starting from now and you can have a fun end of match with some big battles. Good luck to both teams in the incoming skirmishes!
Please put back the turn timer and if anyone can't play in 24 hours at some point, please post here and Ezekiel should remove the turn timer (and then put it back). Again, please prioritize this game over others, other games managed to play about 60 turns in one tournament round.
We're discussing how to deal with your game among judges because it is probably going to be the game the least advanced we've ever had in the tournament and the pace is abnormally slow.
A bit more than 1 month left for your game, what turn did you reach?
I think it´s my turn but there´s a server problem at Triumphs and I will not likely be able to do my turn before in 2 days from now. Ew.
I am doing some IRL work-related projects in next 2 days, so not sure I will make it to making my turns, so please stop timer if I don' t make my turn on time (I will try to, though)
So, you can continue the game now. To complete my previous message: given the previous warnings for reload without proof (in previous rounds of this tournament), this is the last warning for Jonny for this match: if there is another reload not justified properly, he will lose this match. Hopefully, this won't happen because crashes are pretty rare. Please take all measures to avoid crashes (do not play on a laptop that crashes often, etc.).
Good luck all for the rest of the game.
@Jonny: please do a recording of the current situation on your turn (showing most of the strategic map on both layer, the location of your units, the production in your cities, the log of events, etc.) and send it to the judges. Then please wait until feedback before continuing the turn.
What turn did you reach? @opponents: please PM the judges if anything to say about the current strategic situation (as usual when crashes occur).
my system crashed, can´t offer any proof.
Nevertheless, merry chrismas to all of you ;-)
