Well - as I have a hanging party (a pressing duty) I will not make a full report of the events as of now. But I will make it sometime soon. I had a hard time thinking of how to put `spockimpossible´ - he was overtaken by an AI player which among other annoying thing took a shrine of regrowth with a dire penguin right as I needed it to try an against the odds wizards tower battle around turn 50 something.
Sorry for your leaders! But the files are probably in your trash bin so you can restore them maybe? I don't think they were corrupted. Marcus said on the chat: "Actually the error message Hawk recieved is when you have 2 windows open at the same time, for example you click and then click again on AOW Launcher, at least it was the case for me. But I agree, the error message displayed and how to resolve it is actually quite drastic"
Ok, well I don't know exactly what's happening for the mod incompatibility and especially the Ironman notification... The mod incompatibility happened once recently (forgot to who and on which game). I guess you can only accept the Ironman notification and continue like that, I doubt it's possible to do a manipulation to avoid the Ironman from being displayed.
Noooo... you are right, all my leaders have disappeared, but if I did not do so, the launcher did not start. The turn was new and I did not open it and saved it. As I said, this morning the launcher told me that the password or account name was wrong, I asked to reset the password. When I got the password reset, I created a new one but I received the message that the profile might be corrupted, suggesting that you delete the two files. I deleted the files and the game started but a warning told me that the mod was in conflict. Usually the player before playing in debug mode because a warning tells me I'm going to open the round with a more recent version of the mod and I play normally. Today it came out the conflict warning with the mod but if I start the game in debug mode the warning disappears but if I try to open the round the ironman mode tells me that something has changed
maybe I'm waiting for other fight to see if I have the same alerts
Try launching in debug mode and see if it works? (in the Miscellaneous tab in the launcher) Did you start playing your turn earlier, then had to Save & Quit? Or is it a brand new turn?
Also, could you please hover over the game in the PBEM lobby to see the exact explanation it gives for the incompatibility?
BTW: I'm quite surprised the devs suggest to delete the .aps and .apd like that, it deletes all your custom leaders as far as I know, right? It should be a last recourse but here I feel like they suggested it a bit too early!
sorry, maybe I've solved it.Normally I never play with the debug version, but this time if I check the box debug mode the game does not conflict ... but the notice of Ironman modeÂ
I also have a similar problem. This morning I no longer recognized my account, I ran the reset password but still did not work, so I deleted .aps and .apd as described in the alert and the game started but I have a conflict message withthe mod.
I updated using steamworkshopdownloader web sight because I got my game through gog. Other games I am playing have had no problem after the 1.22 update. No I can't load my turn obviously, it says that I am running a different version. I am using the 20171104_v1-22-main file from dropbox currently, but before that I was using the steam version which I assume is the same.
The fact that the game talks about v1.21 is not relevant here, it was just the name of the mod when you launched the game. When we will reach v1.23, it will still display v1.21 in the screen where you load that game. What branch is it? @Lightform: how did you update? Can you load your turn? If yes, then just do it and play it, the message of different version is probably because either 1/ no turn was played since the 4th and you thus have a newer version or 2/ you are playing in debug mode or the previous player was playing in debug mode (that triggers "different versions" messages).
So what happens is, when I am running the 1.21 mod, the game says that my mod is out of date and needs to be updated, and when I update it, the game shows that it is using the 1.21 mod, and tells me that I am running a "different" version of the mod.
Ok in theory this is fixed now both for the main branch of the balance mod (since yesterday) and for the beta branch (since 2 hours ago). If the current player had not opened the turn, he can just update the mod and continue playing as normal. If the turn was opened, then (as said on the Tournament Player Pool), it seems the only way is to restart the turn entirely, sorry about that. Here is the procedure: go to C:\Users\[Windows user name]\Documents\My Games\AoW3\Profiles\[AoW3 user name]\PBEM, find the save game from the the bugged PBEM game, delete the 3 files (.txt, .apg, .~apg). Launch AoW3 with the updated mod, and load your PBEM game as usual: it will give you an Ironman warning, there is no way to avoid that, then your turn will load and you will be able to continue playing as usual. Sorry again for the trouble.
I just update mod 1.22 but in another pben my flying/floating units on the sea are now embarked and I can't disembark them. I wrote to Hiliadan about the issue and I wont open this turn to avoid future revert.

Please report spock as in your team and quitter (so that he gets -20 and not other point), otherwise he gives you points for beating him.
