Nice and well balanced match with imo a better start for Earl and me. I wasted 3 stacks with a brute and not well planned attack and another two stacks with some elite exalteds and blight elementals which costs nearly all of my offensive troops. If I had scouted better before entering the enemy domain it would have been possible to eliminate Phirpho in the early mid game.

Anyways Jean played a very good game and blocked an attack from Earl and me with 4 stacks very long. At this point imo the game changed because we retreated and couldn't fight with this stacks for more than 10 turns.

intense, balanced game that turned within the last 15 turns roughly from a prolonged defensive situation of Jean and me into an offensive situation in which we could capture and destroy several cities, including the capital of elLobo, which led to his defeat through an unexpected attack from Jean. Earl and Lobo were very strong in the early game and could have won this equally. I guess Jean is going to post his game report anyway here <smiletext1> A big thank to all for this intense match!

well, it's not generally bad that the AI uses that spell. it seems also a random pick. i now encountered a scout battle where the AI used that theocrat damage spell instead. are there any spells, that the AI uses, which are totally useless? feral mount is most of the time quite useless. but could be though...

I already reported that Slayer´s Doubt issue (But probably won´t be fixed ever as ofc I didn´t get any response)
The best stuff happens then the AI waits until the Slayer´s Doubt Malus runs out and then attacks the enemy unit.
Maybe the only Option is to simply Prevent the AI to use some spells in Autocombat?

yes, that was absolutely ridiculous. although i hoped to deplete your cps, the spells used in the battle by your AI were totally pointless. slayers doubt could never have increased your chances of winning the battle. it is bizarre that the AI chose it. on the other hand, what one witnesses quite often is that the AI uses a 80cps spell or similar in a scout fight or disjuncts a lot, which is equally frustrating

I a bit disappointed that the AI uses spells in the scout fights only against us. I have enough mana and spell points but never seen the AI using damagespells for our benefit.

I am trying to make sure that everybody thinks I am a very bad player and underestimates my skills. I think I couldn't proof it any better!

I have had another blight elemental with 110 CP channeled and won't lose all the spent CP just for casting mark of the heretic two times. Obviously the wrong decision.

Yes, having 4 Elite Exalteds and not casting Mark of Heretics seems a bit arrogant <smiletext1>

it was very close. but i could also have tried to trigger your AI to use spells during a scout fight (equally dangerous for me) and i positioned my catapults badly. also, i wonder if all combats would have proceeded like this one: all your units attacked my right flank, although i attacked from the south. anyway, very close game so far. very captivating

Next big battle and next big loose for me. Seems like I was a bit too greedy. The fight was very tight and I learned another two things. Don't attack an enemy when not all troops are at full health and when you can cast a spell on two enemy stacks then do it. I think with mark of the heretics on the hero stack and the archon/machine stack I would have won the fight. Anyways a nice game! <smiletext0>

Yes, this was a great move of mine. I expected Jeans army in the north so I moved south to take another two cities. Unfortunately Jean's army was south and i ran straight through it. The result was not that good for me.

Hiliadan told me the same today. Thanks, guys, it worked.

I am not satisfied with how my pc works these days.
It is very laggy playing in debug mode (dunno why though) and trying to record at the same time, my computer crashed today, I am terribly sorry.
I hope to solve the problem because I have to play the tournament games soon and I can't afford any crashes at all.
Once again, sorry.

Hey!
I have a problem. Can't enter my turn.

I had several battles this turn so I planned to do a battle, make a break and then continue the turn.
I guess there was no update during this period of time, that's why it is strange.
Any ideas?

There are always new games in the public, also with turn timer. Sometimes none, sometimes little, and sometimes more. Yeah, hosting it on aow3 is a good idea.

I have tried to Play public pbemy game, but three were not a lot of it without password. All was set to 'no timer' settings which for me is not acceptable if somebody can make a turn for year. Maybe that was just a bad luck. But if you said that IT is possibile to Play a public pbem than I'll probably host a new one for newbies myself. Now I'll remember to use  strong defenders, weak units and mod that you mentioned. Thank you.

hey Flaku, beating the 1 or 2 AI on Emperor is a good start. But online games with real players are a totally different story. I suggest that you try the public pbem games on aow3 first. There are some things that sort of "qualify" you for joining games here apart from a little experience in online games: you should be familiar with xp-farming and other exploits in the basic game, why one should play with the balance mod, and you should have played at least once with the "strong defenders - weak starting units"-setting.

On the other hand, you can of course create a game for beginners like you here and wait for a suitable opponent. <smiletext0> Good luck!
