Hi! So we looked at the scores... The match was very tight and it was not obvious who should win it. In the end, judges decided Crusher got the victory. Congratulations to them. I'm going to edit the result and the roster. Please then edit the class/race.

Please note that, as explained in the past, the rule is not straightforward "victory for the team with the highest score" as explained in rule 1:
"The team with the highest cumulated score for non-eliminated players (dead players have 0 point) then wins the match. If scores are very close, the judges can decide that it is a draw and decide a replay the game with a shorter deadline (for instance 1 month), an extension or another solution (including awarding victory to one team), based on the circumstances of the march and the tournament. "

We did fall within the "very close" case for this game. Crusher won thanks to the capture of domain in the last 3-4 turns. We are sorry the game is decided like this but unfortunately round 2 cannot be delayed further if we want to keep all the players involved in the tournament on board until the end of the tourney.

Due to a misunderstanding, the turn notifications were not recorded comprehensively so this part of rule 1 can't be applied "In case of score victory, judges may require the “new turn notification” logs to all players to determine if the teams delayed the game by repeatedly breaking rule 3. A malus (e.g. -10% or more) might then be applied to the score of the rule-breaking teams.". In the future, please note that the player doing the recording needs to activate turn notifications on other players' turns (in the settings of the PBEM game).


Please get ready for next match!
And you're of course free to continue the current match for fun, for instance by doing a revert so that AlX replays his turn.

@Ezekiel: could you please send me the turn notification for all 4 players for all round? I see 3 options:
- send screenshots of your mailbox with all the emails needed
- forward all the emails to me by email
- save all the emails and send them as 1 archive (.zip for instance)

As announced at the beginning, this will be used to check if some players played in more than 24 hours without having notified it on the game blog, and potentially giving a score malus to these players.

In theory you can play the turn since the deadline has not yet been exceeded. In practice, as Ezekiel is away, would be nicer for the tourney to stop now. But I think it makes sense to continue for 1 turn as rules allow.

Hiliandan have the ultimate answer but since Ezekiel have already stated he is away to the 25th (perhaps even 27th) the best thing would probably be to surrender today, as today is the deadline of your extension.

So, please wait to finish your turn before Hiliadan have a chance to give his input.

Hi! Your time extension expires this Sunday 23:59:59 GMT+1. The usual procedure then applies:
1/ the current strategic turn is played until the last player in the turn order (AlX?)
2/ that player plays his turn, saves & quits, copy the save game to a backup folder
3/ that player re-enters the game and surrenders, then takes screenshots of all the scores. He does NOT end the turn. Instead he quits the game without ending the turn.
4/ he sends the screenshots to judges (Marcus, Jonny and me)
5/ judges check the scores and take a decision

@Ezekiel: can you please prepare to send me the email notifications of the turn, as requested at the beginning of the match. You're free to find the form that is the most convenient for you.

Hi! I'll do an admin dummy report of the match in about 34 hours (end of round 2) so that round 2 can technically start for other matches, but the report will be edited based on the actual result when we know it.

Hi! The team change was confirmed on 28/09, about 11 days after the start of the round. After discussion between judges, we give you a time extension of 2 weeks to take that into account, so you have until 23 December 23:59:59 to finish your match (about 28 days from now). If the match is not finished, scores will be considered by judges.
Round 2 of the tournament will however start on 9 December as initially planned. It means 4 matches out of the 8 to be played will be on hold while the 2 delayed matches are completed.

Marcus: I did plan ahead, but just wrote my team mate on steam. I didn´t have the time also to notify him through this platform which might have helped.



Nevertheless I will switch to a 2-day turn timer.

I only collect the turn notifications for myself.

Yes, sorry but reverts are not allowed on tournament games, except really exceptional circumstances.

Ok for turn timer at 48 hours but really just for exceptional cases when you can play in 26 hours like this time. Ezekiel is keeping the records of time needed for turn if needed at the end of the math.

I am pretty sure judges won't allow it simply "because".
Either way, it's a bit frustrating to check for the turn on the Thursday 21:00 and then see the Friday 23:00 that it' s already next opponents turn. (I'm leaving my home around 6:00 in the morning)

Either way, please put 2-day timer, just to eliminate such situations.

For your information, I confirm your game is fine on the main branch. The "beta" displayed is because you hosted it when the name issue was still there and the mod name displayed in the PBEM lobby remains the one from when the game was hosted.

Please remember to put highest priority on this game. Other games are about turn 20 now.

Yeah - I can do that. Currently the game is stalled as Lightform has problems joining due to GoG issues. I haven´t contacted him on Steam to check.

Hi! Still missing Pobez's class/race. Giving him 48 hours to provide it by PM to Marcuspers and me before their team is replaced by a team from the reserve list, as the tournament started about 11 days ago and we need to complete the round before 9 December.
