@Bastards of the North: please send class/race for your game vs Marcus and DreadReapr.
Bastards of the North are leading on all score and the judges decided that their score lead on some indicators were sufficient to give them the victory.
We lacked the turn notifications from all players to be able to apply score malus as AlX collected only his turn notification. My bad too, I should have checked earlier.
Please report the game ASAP and prepare for round 4 as it will start very soon.
One option to send them is to forward them one by one. Another would be to take screenshots showing the timestamp of each turn notifications, might be faster. I'm sending you my email by PM.
I was very late back home tomorrow and had to leave early in the morning, so will do my turn and send the screens today in the evening.
You have 4 extra days to compensate for the judging time. So the deadline is 2019-07-04 8:42 PM GMT+0.
The "wrong version" message is a bug from AoW3, it's not the issue.
I'm updating it via the update button (via launcher) however when opening games window, the game looks inaccessible to me.
do you need me to do screenshots/video of that?
The most convenient to send the video is YouTube as a private video (so only people with the link can see it).
I'm not usually playing in debug mode, I can turn it on, if needed.
I can record with the iSpring as I usually do(I actually recorded some turns, but unfortunatelly not all of them and not this one). Time will be seen in the beginning (I have floating windows taskbar, so need to hower with the mouse to see it) and I'll hower over it few more times throughout the turn.
Additionally, how should I present the video (e.g. upload to the youtube and present link to judges?)?
Also, please record the turn from before you enter the game (so that we see the Ironman message) to the end of turn, in windowed mode (so that we see the timestamp). You can do that with OBS or Bandicam for instance (though the latter is limited to 10 minutes so you'd need to launch recording immediately after it stops every 10 minutes).
@Nook and Melciar: please send to the judges an update on how the game is going (any major battles, etc.).
We are currently discussing the crash of AlX and you'll get a couple of days of extra time to compensate for judging time.
Yet, it seems unlikely that your match will be won before the deadline. It might therefore be decided by score. The procedure is as follow:
1/ the current strategic turn is played until the last player in the turn order
2/ that player plays his turn, saves & quits, copy the save game to a backup folder
3/ that player re-enters the game and surrenders, then takes screenshots of all the scores. He does NOT end the turn. Instead he quits the game without ending the turn.
4/ he sends the screenshots to judges (Marcus, Jonny and me)
5/ judges check the scores and take a decision
Could you please confirm who is the last player in the turn order? Can this player please confirm he read this message and understood?
I just had an AoW3 error, I'm sending screenshot to the judges.
Cheers.
In case of a missed turn please pause the game so the judges can make a decision.
Please confirm timer is off or other useful information.
/Marcus
Ok, yes you're right that you are not helped by Melciar's business trips and the late start. I'm going to discuss with judges what to do for the 2 weeks of delay you suffered due to rickyroo and Light quitting + waiting for round 2.
Regarding the turn skipped, we agreed among judges that there should be no revert as there was no "force majeure" which caused the turn to be skipped, beyond control of the players. Hopefully the situation won't occur again.
So you can resume the game. As Melciar is away, please don't put back the turn timer, but please put it after, as your game is unfortunately behind.
What was the duration of Melciar's previous business trip?
when I said - we were fine with our pace, I meant while Melciar didn't embark on the BT. If I recall correct we did 1 turn a day (or in 2 days). Also we started later due to ending previous games later and some organisational issues, so that explains why we're not far into the game.
I've stopped game timer, also Melciar will be away for one more week (till Saturday it seems).Â
The posts I made today were not to give the decision of the judges for this specific case but to remind the rules. I said "turn revert at the initiative of the players" are not allowed but judges can allow a revert in very special cases...
I understand your frustration, it's always very annoying when a turn is missed.
When I think you write "which was forced to us by the judge, btw. we were fine with our pace", you should realize that you did not finish your previous two games in time and you were only turn 5 with only 35 days left (now), so objectively, your pace is not fast enough.
I am still waiting for the other 2 judges' feedback. So there is still a need to pause the game.
Nobody answered me to confirm whether Nook indeed had played his turn.
With that said I assume there's no need to stop the game now?
I believe that the revert must be done, as it was not Eskild's fault.
To clarify: Nook already played the turn after the turn of Ezekiel was skipped, right? I'm contacting the other judges. Nook should not have played, as rule 3 states that judges should be notified and players should wait for their indications on how to continue.
