Game #1214 | 2on2 new Players II

You, guys, have such a cool discussion of the game ^^ I haven't participated in it but I myself felt all the suffering of Dr. Light and the power of sneaky animals just by reading the comments. Well done. 

Don't be upset about losing in such a way, Dr. Light. I myself have pure losses where I, for example, concede without even dealing any damage to my opponent. And even though I, Mark and many other veterans here have a huge experience in this game we still can show some bad games. Nobody is perfect and aow is quite a difficult game in my opinion in general.

I believe its always a struggle to learn different classes and I tend to forget alot about them. 

But in general, I believe sometimes its better to pick everything to learn the weakness of each class/race to counter it in different match ups.

I thought my starting location was pretty good, lots of gold mines to clear, though no forge or quarry. Thanks to this, and that AD can go just for summoned units, I got lots of gold to spare so I could support Refineus' recovery, and still "build" an army. 

I have to admit I got surprised that how little resistance DrLight showed. I must have truly managed to sneak in. Probably helped that I skipped his vassal, so he had no warning before I directly attacked his throne. His leader with a few units bravely took back one of the cities. Unfortunately only then he could see that I was parking my main army just at the border of said city so he could not end the turn with his leader outside my reach.

This match was over sooner than I expected, and without seeing what Marky managed to get. At least, according to the statisctics, we were doing about the same.

The game, in general, became a massive snowball of animals for Sin Arcain. It ran out of control after some turns, even tho he supported me with gold. Dr Light sorcerer cities succumbed to the vast amount of animals that came and became toast around turn 30.

My start for the King of Wastelands became a little disappointment. I decided to challenge a necromancer circle at turn 1 with a Warlord. Then only physical against summons and incorporeal units is a fun challenge probably - I barely escaped with 2-3 units and a dead leader... Following events became a little cat and mouse game with independents roaming the territories of mine

On a positive note, I was spamming cities like usual in order to recover from the bad start and was going to develop an economical harbour strategy to utilize the racial governance of the Humans in order to boost the income. However I reached up to 5 cities and when my army was strong enough to challenge Marky, the game was over.

Good game, overall little short.

I lost, Sin attacked me with full force!... I didn't see him coming and had my armies all over the place, probably if I had seen him, I could've defended myself.... one turn I was happy conquering mines and whatnot and the next my empire was crumbling... I need to improve my vision, take care of those possible access to my territory... Also, Mark and I were a little far, so he couldn't help me...

I am not willing to start a 3-3 game right now because it will last much longer and I don't want to be obliged with the responsibility of playing it. I have already had some bad exprience when I started some games (even a tournament!) and I had to withdraw from it in the middle due to the lack of time and motivation. I felt very bad that time because I left my opponents\teammate. 

2-2 is a perfect format for me since I am anyway on quarantine at the moment. Who knows what happens next...

So if you, guys, decide to play another one with me it will be great (^_^)

Answering Hiliadan: I can play a 2-2 game with the top-10 players as well, no problem.

In general I think the case was the same players as before. Dr light wanted to play another one.

But I guess Uncle Sam and his people come little later then Europe to the party.

On topic I would say that I never play same race and class in a row.

And you can never know Hiliadan, maybe he just want to play a laidback game for once. Oh, or we could be like 3 vs Jean to make it fair.

Hey! I am not a new player and I don't know whether you play a completely new game or a rematch of a previous one so I don't mind if you decide to replace me with another player. Please, feel free to do it.

If you agree to play with me, I will join, of course, because I love team games a lot and I haven't played one for a long time.
