Well, my congratulations to Ezekiel's team   Though that's what I wanted to avoid when I started this tourney - do not let win the match by one veteran vs all others   And this match has been showed that I was wrong. 
I admit I made some critical mistakes at this match. But it's hard to say if I wouldn't make such big mistakes then would be there an other result or not  

P.S. I have problems with my laptop, so I can't fill all class/race fields in the report. So please for other team let me know what I missed.

I appreciate both of you for gold   But it would be nice if someone would share me also 100 mana to be able to build 2-nd class building to produce stalkers   I'll try to do my best to return all that resources as soon as possible. Though if Ezekiel will continue his pressure then the resources returning may be delay for a long time 

P.S. There are 2 inns near Ez's cities and my crow can get them quickly. It would be nice to buy there all units and bring pressure to his domain   But, unfortunately, it's too expensive  Though it's one of the best options now. Of course, it may not ruin his economy at all I think because of his Necro stack at UG, but if I can take and raze some of his cities it will be good too))  What do you think about it, should I spend gold by that way or not?

Hi Nubnub. I'm sorry to hear that. Thanks for not keeping silent about your problem. 
As I can see in the PBEM lobby you didn't trigger Ironman notification. So you haven't give us any evidence and you can continue without worries  But for the future turns you should deal with your problem. If you need a help with finding the issue - our community will try to help you   Otherwise it may cause Ironman notification and I'll have to give you a warning. 
I hope that it's only the internet connection issue and you'll fix it without any problems.   Though anyway I advise you after starting next few turns for the first save and exit, and then open session again and play it as usual. 

Did it trigger an Ironman reload notification? Does it display something in the turn email notification (or in the PBEM lobby)? If not, then you're fine.
If it does, then Skuns will tell you.

I just did my turn and it got stuck during uploading after I had ended my turn. I canceled, reloaded the save and tried again, that time it just failed by itself after some time. I then closed my game (it crashed at that, curiously), restarted the application, reloaded the save and that time it still took its time, but worked at last. So in the end I still only did my turn once, but it took three tries to upload it. Do I have to provide some sort of evidence for that somewhere?

To clarify, there was never any doubt you will recieve a warning without proof, I've done this for 2 years now.

The formal approach you mention, means that Ezekiel can't be a judge in this match, hence why I said to not waste more time on this specific occasion, as it's summer time and finding 2 new judges will prolong an already long process.
If you really want to maintain a formal process, I suggest you create a spreadsheet and share it so I can formally submit your warning there. And to be even more formal, you should then consider creating rules, similair to the duel tournament or the 2v2 where instructions regarding restarts and procedures to observe players who have restart/s are in place. 

I thought your initial messages pointed toward the direction where such meassures wouldnt be implemented, but if you want to continue this formal approach, I again suggest you update the rules.

In regards to you mentioning new players (please refrain from calling them newbies) and following the process, I already addressed my reply to all players with instructions of how the process works.

I understand your position and may be you're right. But may be I should give you more info about what happened. While I was playing my turn I started watching the battle from one of my teammates against AI. And at that moment I moved to another program window. When I returned to the game window the game was not response. But while I was waiting when it will start to response again, Windows decided to close it with the notification message window. I did not expect such behaviour, so I haven't a screen with the game-not-response approvements  I could take a photo of notification message, but I didn't do it  Though it was only on Russian, so it's unlikely that you could translate it

When you have a crash, you must take relevant actions, such as a screenshot, a video etc. to "proof" what happened.

I guess we can be a bit less forceful than in an "official" tournament, but we should still keep track of game crashes/restarts so that we can take relevant actions when and if it becomes a problem.

The image provided is not enough to be ruled as a "restart with proof", therefore the ruling must be that it's a "restart without proof", and you can continue the game.

Hi, guys. I have to inform you about the next. Today, while I was playing current turn in the tourney session, I've got a game crash. According the rules I have to stop playing and wait other judges decision - is my approvements enough to continue or not. Despite the fact that Ezekiel is involved in this session too, - the kind of my approvements allows him to be as the judge in this subject. However, if we'll got different positions from both main judges (Ezekiel & marcuspers), I'll have to ask an opinion of additional judges too.  

@Nubnub  Yes, you have now small mana income. But you have small cast points too and a big reserve of mana   So you should start to cast few banshees now and when you'll be ready summon the first of them you'll have already an option to upgrade your mana income    Otherwise you'll spend a time (many turns) in vain 

To avoid any pressure on you before the vacation I've turned off the timer just in case

I'll summon more souls / banshees once I have more mana since currently I only get 19 mana per turn.
More sunguards will be recruited once my Embalmer's Guild is finished which I think will improve them some more

I´ll be heading off for vacation early on this friday. I´ll be gone from there (the 13th) to the 22nd of July. In that period I can´t promise taking any turns.

Please, do not left your thrones and cities without guards   they may protect your cities from the neutral bandits or other roamers. Otherwise you will have to spent a time to return and retake it back   

@Akinos  Wisps are good protecters. Though there are should be shooters too. You can concentrate on building units with floating ability (Apprentices) and have good mobility with them

@Nubnub  You can start to summon Banshees and Souls with Life steal, into your throne, of course. Also build some more sunguards   And Vampiric Hunger - is good enough spec to your pikemans)) Though as soon as Ezek is Dreadnought, it's better now to start concentrate you on T3 tigrans. Class T3 also may be against Longinus, but it's not a priority purpose

P.S. If I can build new town next turn and build fortress, then I can help you with some gold))

Hi guys. Sorry, I should inform you earlier that I was going to the vacation from 10 to 12 of June. So if there are no objections from the opposite team I'll revert the turn  I can't do it now because of server problems in Russia. I'll do it in the evening.

@Ezekiel  I don't think that it is the "play unfairly" thing if someone skipped his turn. So you could play your turn in terms "as is"  (I hope my explanations were understandable for you  )

What the ... sorry for the turn skip again, I did genuinely not see the info mail (after searching for it I just found it, but because it had arrived together with a flood of other emails and landed in the wrong folder I did not see it previously) (and because my other PBEM games are progressing *super super* slowly, I had no other reason to enter the menu for a few days).
It's really unfortunate that there is no option for a second reminder 24 or 12 hours before skipping, or a daily reminder or such.

Anyway, if noone else does his turn before it can be reverted, I would like to ask for that. If not, I don't want to bother you.

Nub Nub, we see diaEmperador capital and we are at war with it. If you go in diplomacy with it you can see that some roamers taked it :p

3-normal match

I think DiaEmperador couldn't use his potential in teh match and Longinus was very unlucky. I had one risky decision in this game, when I decided to push further, pslit my forces and clear a wizard tower. that was my biggets mistake, as Ezekiel crushed my vulnerable weakened stack(s). besidest hat..,.nice game (:

A game that went like a dream for us, especially for me. I was planning to befriend as much indies as possible and go for a nice halfling boom that would enable me to be economically strong and support my teammates. And it went wonderfully, pretty quickly I could vassalize a Frostling City and the Naga dwelling in the center of the map. But it turned out that I was not the only one booming, AiX starting as Goblin underground was even faster than me and had even more cities up and running quickly. Our opponents weren't playing aggressive and so we were in a splendid position for midgame. At one point (don't quite remember the exact turn) Zytozid and me were clearing around a giant dwelling a bit south of the central map and decided to start pushing as we both had two rather strong stacks there, we weren't staying very close together as we approached enemy territory (so that we both had enough nice spots for clearing) but when Zytos main stack went underground it got taken out by an ambush of what was probably Ezekiels defenders stack. But this was far enough away and I had a fast swimming stack anyway and also I wasn't sure if they had spotted me yet so i kept pushing. I found a really nice direct way directly towards Longinus capital and took the opportunity to take it out with my fast leader-stack. I think it was the next turn when Longinus made a suicide attack with his leader on his burning capital. but he lost and was out of the game.
From there on it was 2v3 and that is never good. AiX also build a beacon of unity meaning that our opponents were fighting even more an uphill battle.
Dia Emperador was very careful and I have to say played it pretty well all things considered. He was in the north of the map on the surface and I had just taken Longinus capital in his back while he was going for a push towards the middle of the map and possibly my Naga dwelling(?). So he left strong stacks at his two main cities to defend and went forward with his leader stack. Unfortunately for him we had map control in that area and rather good intel on where he was and how he moved and I could move a strong necro stack around his main army that also could visit a shrine of rejuvination and that proved too much for his defensive forces at home, also AiX had snuck a 6er stack assassins there that DiaEmperador couldn't know about and when he came back to take his city with his leaderstack AiXs and my combined forces just outnumbered and overwhelmed him.
His capital was untouched yet but there was no hope of holding it. In the meantime however Ezekiel had appeared in the underground in the south, close to the beacon of unity and putting on quite a lot of pressure on AiX underground empire and naturally also to the capitals of Zyto and me who where close by. But he wasn't fast enough. My leaderstack and the slower accompanying army had taken all of Longinus old empire and I had split them because I knew Ezekiel had a very strong defense but I thought attacking from two sides might be too much. So my slower army (~9 units, mostly T2 animals + druids, apprentice and Naga) was moving to a cave entrance in the south, where I also had a hunter hiding and waiting in the Underground near an Inn while me leaderstack was moving to a cave entrance in the very norheast of the map, my hope was that Ezekiel might not even bothered to scout there and wasn't aware of that, or that he'd hope I wasn't aware of that. But he very well was and when my Leaderstack entered I saw that he was lying in wait with a very strong defense of about 16 units that were ready to pounce on me should I dare enter. That was too dangerous for me and I decided to just stay on the cave entrance above ground. If he would stay there my other stack reinforced by the units form the Inn would hopefully be enough to kill whatever units weren't in a stand-off with my leader in the north.
I don't know if Ezekiel was aware of that or if he just hoped to kill the main danger close to his home so he could focus more on his attack, but he attacked into my stack on the cave entrance stack by stack and lost all of them.


Then he and Longinus surrendered.
Good game everyone I was unreasonable lucky, this game went really close to perfect for me. I just wish I could say the same for the actual tournament match...

it was a great display of how to do team play as he guarded my cities some and still won the game

Well. I actually had great fun playing this game and had excitement chasing and running away from Skuns leader with his stalker shack and some charmed units in the midgame where the odds were still not in favor of my team.

Took a while before I actually felt confident my team would win this as it was basically a 2v3 for the major part of the game.

A more offensive gameplay from Skuns´ - and his team, for sure - might have turned the tide, guess the game was kind of decided when I got that 100 units empire quest and could take over Skuns´ lands without much resistance granting me cities and then a lot of happiness. Even better when I got to the other opponents city where swift migration gave humungous boosts to race happiness and elicited the heptatopia and monoculture quest rewards.

Let me know if you want a detailed report - got plenty of screenshots from this one.

I did try helping out my allies (could probably have done better on this) but the map layout was not an easy play for the draconian rouge which lasted through the game.

Hi guys. I appreciate both of you for gold   But it would be nice if someone would share me also 100 mana to be able to build 2-nd class building to produce stalkers   I'll try to do my best to return all that resources as soon as possible. Though if Ezekiel will continue his pressure then the resources returning may be delay for a long time 

P.S. There are 2 inns near Ez's cities and my crow can get them quickly. It would be nice to buy there all units and bring pressure to his domain   But, unfortunately, it's too expensive  Though it's one of the best options now. Of course, it may not ruin his economy at all I think because of his Necro stack at UG, but if I can take and raze some of his cities it will be good too))  What do you think about it, should I spend gold by that way or not?

Hi Nubnub. I'm sorry to hear that. Thanks for not keeping silent about your problem. 
As I can see in the PBEM lobby you didn't trigger Ironman notification. So you haven't give us any evidence and you can continue without worries  But for the future turns you should deal with your problem. If you need a help with finding the issue - our community will try to help you   Otherwise it may cause Ironman notification and I'll have to give you a warning. 
I hope that it's only the internet connection issue and you'll fix it without any problems.   Though anyway I advise you after starting next few turns for the first save and exit, and then open session again and play it as usual. 

Did it trigger an Ironman reload notification? Does it display something in the turn email notification (or in the PBEM lobby)? If not, then you're fine.
If it does, then Skuns will tell you.

I just did my turn and it got stuck during uploading after I had ended my turn. I canceled, reloaded the save and tried again, that time it just failed by itself after some time. I then closed my game (it crashed at that, curiously), restarted the application, reloaded the save and that time it still took its time, but worked at last. So in the end I still only did my turn once, but it took three tries to upload it. Do I have to provide some sort of evidence for that somewhere?

To clarify, there was never any doubt you will recieve a warning without proof, I've done this for 2 years now.

The formal approach you mention, means that Ezekiel can't be a judge in this match, hence why I said to not waste more time on this specific occasion, as it's summer time and finding 2 new judges will prolong an already long process.
If you really want to maintain a formal process, I suggest you create a spreadsheet and share it so I can formally submit your warning there. And to be even more formal, you should then consider creating rules, similair to the duel tournament or the 2v2 where instructions regarding restarts and procedures to observe players who have restart/s are in place. 

I thought your initial messages pointed toward the direction where such meassures wouldnt be implemented, but if you want to continue this formal approach, I again suggest you update the rules.

In regards to you mentioning new players (please refrain from calling them newbies) and following the process, I already addressed my reply to all players with instructions of how the process works.

Agree with you, but I need, for the first, to let other newbies (on the site or at the tourney) an example showing how each player have to do in the same situation. And, for the second, I have to observe a formal approach to the situation, so I'm still waiting for Ezekiel's opinion 

I understand your position and may be you're right. But may be I should give you more info about what happened. While I was playing my turn I started watching the battle from one of my teammates against AI. And at that moment I moved to another program window. When I returned to the game window the game was not response. But while I was waiting when it will start to response again, Windows decided to close it with the notification message window. I did not expect such behaviour, so I haven't a screen with the game-not-response approvements  I could take a photo of notification message, but I didn't do it  Though it was only on Russian, so it's unlikely that you could translate it

When you have a crash, you must take relevant actions, such as a screenshot, a video etc. to "proof" what happened.

I guess we can be a bit less forceful than in an "official" tournament, but we should still keep track of game crashes/restarts so that we can take relevant actions when and if it becomes a problem.

The image provided is not enough to be ruled as a "restart with proof", therefore the ruling must be that it's a "restart without proof", and you can continue the game.

Hi, guys. I have to inform you about the next. Today, while I was playing current turn in the tourney session, I've got a game crash. According the rules I have to stop playing and wait other judges decision - is my approvements enough to continue or not. Despite the fact that Ezekiel is involved in this session too, - the kind of my approvements allows him to be as the judge in this subject. However, if we'll got different positions from both main judges (Ezekiel & marcuspers), I'll have to ask an opinion of additional judges too.  

@Nubnub  Yes, you have now small mana income. But you have small cast points too and a big reserve of mana   So you should start to cast few banshees now and when you'll be ready summon the first of them you'll have already an option to upgrade your mana income    Otherwise you'll spend a time (many turns) in vain 

To avoid any pressure on you before the vacation I've turned off the timer just in case

I'll summon more souls / banshees once I have more mana since currently I only get 19 mana per turn.
More sunguards will be recruited once my Embalmer's Guild is finished which I think will improve them some more
