Yeah, congratulations Sauna and good luck in the final rounds!
I reckoned I had a 60% chance to win that battle by sheer numbers. But indeed I did not get quite lucky enough and static electricity definitely won that battle for you. If I had fought manually I would have gone after the caster with drones and nightwatches and used the adventurers to kill some animals but ah well.
All in all the match did not go too badly for me. Of course losing a fortress along with builder was a setback but at least I was able to kill off some hunters in return. I had shitloads of mana (3 nodes in starting area) so I invested a bit in CP and spammed drones. I picked my fights carefully and did not lose any units apart from the occasional scout. Major gripe of this game was that I could not find any scrolls (except 1 turn before defeat a mile all the way across the map) while I had half the map explored and about 20 & of underground. This was terrible for my research, since my strategy with these settings is to research 40 and leave 5 of everything and then exploit scrolls.
Fun fact:
I have now played 4 matches in this tournament and lost all but one. That one is still ongoing (very slowly) and I just lost my leader for the second time.
Hili, feel free to invite me if you need more stand-ins for future matches
Cheers guys

Had an OK starting area with a decently sized natural expansion. Long term plan was to rush to shamans and use their mobility to harass the enemy (especially after I found out he was a dreadnaught) + I really like shamans a lot, more so for draconians with both fire and blight ranged. First hero was Sheila (RIP), so definitely go lucky there. Site clearing went without major losses and the hunter scouts served their purpose well enough though were eventually sniped. Was able to befriend a dire bear, a mammoth, and some other t2 animals on my (relatively fast) route towards the enemy, I don't think I had a single resist, so again lucky there.
Even though I didn't clear that many sites, through chain lightning spam Sheila was leveled to 11 and Static Electricity just in time for the final battle. I took his capital one turn before he reached it to defend it, and began razing it. I was a bit hesitant to stay and defend against a larger (albeit inferior) halfling force during a shooting stars event, but turns out the lucky RNG might have even favored me more than him in the actual autobattle. This combined with Static Electricity (though after casting it, the marvellous AI tried its best to get her killed and eventually succeeded, ending the effect) sealed me the victory in the final (and only noteworthy) battle.
As you can see from the scores, the game was pretty even until my successfull aggression. I was so unsure of the final battle that I even sent Sheila's mount to my 2nd hero beforehand so in case I lost he would be a better stack leader for the shamans I was pumping out, but turns out that was unnecessary.
Good game and a good opponent! He could have abandoned his capital and retreated to his natural to prolong the game, but had the balls to try and regain it, so respect for that
Done!
We are currently at turn 9 by the way.

In order to avoid advantaging one team or the other, for each match, the team who will host the match was randomly selected.
The first team in the "turn order" above (who is also the team on top in the tree here) must host the game.
Any of the players in the team can host.

Hi ! Piao was replaced by leon feargus (following a random draw where marcus got to replace redrum and not Piao).
@Sauna and leon: please send your class/race for the match by PM to judges.
@leon: please host the game and post the screenshots here ASAP. I noted you are going to be on holidays. I'll discuss with other judges to give this match an extra additional time (about 29 days left in the official time) so that you can finish it.
We need both players' class/race.
