i think AD is broken right now bcz those tier 4 snakes are a big cheap advantage.
i think cbower got his early hornet gods bcz he creeped many hard dungeons early game when he leveled up couple of t4 snakes, or maybe he just focused on building labs and obs while he's not worry about being rushed, he has already a strong t4 army. 

i finished monoculture quest by turn 18 so i can creep hard dungeons with extra 3 knights, i started to spam monster hunters right after my fast expanding in addition to my 4 elite knights. cbower reached me around turn 35 while i had my knight stack + 5 stacks of monster hunters (also i risked attacking a tomb and lost stack of monster hunters)
i lost our first fight when i attacked him 4v3, he had 5 deadly shock serpants and some elite tier 3 units and normal tier2s. he ended up surviving with leader and 3 shock serpants, he retreated and attacked me again turn 40 with few extra units and 3 hornet gods. i lost again 4vs3 with few casulties, thats when i realised i cant beat those serpants and gods.
