rrrookie and me started as arch druids against dread as tigran warlord and mauve as dwarfen necro. We decided to go for an early push, but dread could wipe out my army. Weakened after the battle he was harassed by rrrookie till he went down against one of my summons. Mauve pushed against us and gave us some trubble, raizing a lot of cities and my dragon lair. But in the end we could hunt his leader down and take his throne. Very interesting game, it had a lot of action to offer. Thanks to you all for the patience, good luck and have fun.
Also, forgot to take a screenshot for proof, but I'm not the current host anyway, so I'm just reminding whoever it is that they should do so and then report this game as finished.
Too bad we had that delay for so long. Thanks for the game guys, it's finally over.
I wish I hadn't gotten my leader carelessly killed in a sphinx battle a few turns ago because I think I would have had a chance (or at least it would have been interesting) reclaiming my land with dread reapers, but I ended up with my leader in a terrible spot after respawning.
2 judges agreed: you can resume your game. mauve receives 1 warning for reload not justified by an adequate proof (sorry but Triumph didn't help with this one). For Jonny and rrrrookie, please keep playing this game with debug mode. If we get more examples, they may be ready to help (even though I hope you don't get any such bugs in this game because that would be a big problem!!!).
I did not get any answer from Triumph too, i send the log file to arnout as before. Last time they reacted instantly, seems they are too busy with something else right now. I hope they could need the information, since it was exactly what they were looking for.
No we're waiting for Triumph's feedback. mauve reported the bug to them and we are waiting to know if they need to learn more. Opportunities to solve this bug are rare so I'd like to seize this one. I followed up with them earlier today saying that if they thought it would take a lot of time, we would give a warning here and continue...
That would be really great Jonny, please do that and send them your log. You will have an extension for the delay (+ I'm going to announce how we deal with games not yet finished soon in the Player Pool).
Yeah, i also just got the message again on another game. So the bug is far from solved. Since i am running the debug mode i can send the game number to triumph
I was going to play my turn today, but a message popped up saying that I was restarting and getting an ironman notification. I haven't played my turn at all yet. Should I just continue?
I don't want to delay this given the deadline quickly approaching, but I thought it best to wait and ask first before continuing.
We never restarted the timer after the discussion on the restarts. Since we've been doing one turn a day each for most of that time, it doesn't seem like something that the four of us need to be using.
I will be out of town from Thursday through Sunday and may not be able to process any turns. I'm not sure if there is a turn timer, but if there is can you remove it dread?
Well, actually they have not been that fast. The issue was first reported in November 2015. But we increased the number of reports recently and they are on a bug hunt right now so that's why they eventually fixed it (hopefully!).
The devs said in the forum that based on some logs they had they had pushed some fixes on the server side to solve this issue! So I think you can continue! I suggest to both rrrrookie and Jonny Thunder to run in debug mode though, so that if it happens again (because the devs were not sure it was 100% fixed), you can send your log to Triumph, who said they would ideally need the debug mode to be running when the Ironman notification appear for the 1st time.
Hey there! So it took some time because the decision was difficult but we finally took a decision with 2 judges for allowing Jonny Thunder one last chance and 1 judge for an immediate loss for his team on this match. Basically, last reload was a 3rd reload without proper justification of a crash or equivalent. However, Jonny followed our requests to report before clicking on "yes" when the Ironman notification appeared (unlike what I had understood at the beginning). I was able to check the state of the game through a Team Viewer session with him. I assessed that there was no reason for a voluntary reload this turn. That are the elements we took into account to reach our conclusions.
So, 3rd warning for reload with proper justification but you can continue. It would be very very unlikely that a bug would happen (again) in the future so there will be no other situation like that.
@Jonny: PLEASE WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE FEEDBACK FROM THE DEVS TO CONTINUE. Please do not play your turn now. They will probably answer on Monday. I guess they need you to stay on the same turn to analyse what's going on, so please don't send your turn to the next player. (we reported details of the issue to the devs so that they can investigate and hopefully solve the issue in the future)
Going to sleep now. I'll send a PM to Markymark and Fistandantilus tomorrow. Fistandantilus is away now, it would be good to wait for him. We'll see... So please keep the turn timer off...
This game is cursed. I got another notification, did not play the turn at all but get it right at the start, did not save and exit and used my pc. Hope you believe me, i am no cheater, would be not to smart to do it in 3 successive turns anyway, and this turn would be no fight just moving anyways. On my last turnament i had not a single reload. This game really annoyes me, it would be good for my nerves if it ends now.
Having trouble to upload the pictures, since the browser won´t show them. Here is the link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/a7umlvkg4jnbsby/AAC-HGYxu7ybi9iisaFGyt0Na?dl=0
I am back home from holyday and don´t have to use my laptop again. A few days ago, after the laptop overheated, it started the system recovery while booting. The problem is, from there on every 2-3 times i start the laptop, it won´t boot properly but need system recovery. I would have played my turns without saving and exit, but it wasn´t clear to me that it will go on with the system recovery and that it will cause this problems.
My newborn is keeping my busy so i am on baby duty all the time, so saving and exit is nice, theoratically. I added some pics taken of my laptop´s sytem recovery, it´s in german, Systemwiederherstellung means system recovery. That must have caused the restart notification. Acutally i am quite frustrated with that thing and would like to throw it out of the window. It was quite stupid to play the turns with that broken machine.

Good luck in your next round.
How long can this game sit in limbo before the server deletes it for inactivity?

We're discussing what to do with this 4th reload.
I will be out of the country from September 2-10. Should be able to process some turns but lets keep the turn timer off.Â
