Once we meet in our current game I will share a screenshot of the struggle with weak starting units, with my current class/race! Its the same for everyone, and its supposed to be hard, but the difference of surviving with 1hp and lose the unit is extreme with the current settings, I agree. I guess the only advice I can give is to rotate your units, only attack with 5 units if one is badly injured, as opposed to risk it. At the same time, going in with the injured unit might save your leader/hero from a lethal hit, as AI will focus on injured units.

Another tip is that if the AI have an equal chance to hit your leader or your other units, they will always go for the leader, might help you in your tactical battles!

I struggle with weak starting units :-) I can do ok if I roll 2 irregulars + 1 infantry + 1 cavalry but with 3 irregulars + 1 cavalry I tend to lose units early on. In both academy games I think I'm doing ok-ish but there we had stronger initial units I think.
My army was supposed to be a decoy to lure you away from the city until I relocate the throne, miscalculated it a bit :-)

In the acadamy game where we play in same team you seems to be doing really well, with multiple armies roaming the map. I was surprised to see you approach my sorcerors army with just 6 units! It was actually close that I missed the opportunity, I had already "pre selected" army movement to your throne, but the watchtower had your units visible, and I spotted a lonely lost soul, so was curious to see what else was hidden, as it was strange it wasnt connected to your army

I see I need to work on vision management asap, among other vital things. Way too many mistakes on my part :-)

We can have a rematch, but need to rehost, I'm experimenting with new classes/races!
Goblin Druid is not the best, but my capital was close to metropolis, which would have been a nice bonus.
Almost 1000 extra goblins per day in the end, hehe.
