Rrrrookie realized the structural advantage and put and end to my expansion at the beginning of the 20s-turns. I worked myself out of it and stats showed that players were almost equal. The crucial attack came as a surprise to me since i used the cursor to check if he could catch me and thought he couldnt, but indeed he could. Not the only event that leaves a question mark for me with this game, however, it was a interesting game and enoyed the challenge to work myself out of that choking siege.
This was a good game that went 47Â rounds. I forgot to take any screenshots of the end result so the below screen shot is all I have. Phirpo and I spent the last 15-20 rounds playing a cat and mouse game. I had the upper hand most of the game and was able to get phirpo playing defensively. I had income and research advantages and I knew he was getting in trouble financially. Finally he made a mistake and I was able to catch his leader with my floating units. He surrendered after he lost his leader.
