Good game Badborre has bad luck with a big fight and we stand a long time in a bottleneck in the underground. I was lucky with a second stack in his backside so I win  I'm ready for a Revanche if you want

Of course, but necros have far less access to mana and I didn't have the access to as much room for expansion as you had.
But thats random map, and I got lucky before as well, so no problem at all

If you wish, Im up for a private rematch anytime you want, badborre. Was very enjoyable to play a poem almost the speed of a mp!

Yes, you do need to be in windowed mode to avoid the "black screen" issue.

thanks. (I have trouble with my screenshots, F12 doesn seem to work, I get only all-black pics. do I need to run in windowed mode in order to take screenshot ingame? Im playing from a surfacepro3)

Hard with random maps. It is lucky when a random are really fair, maybe impossible.

Thank you for a fast game. 46 turns in 12 days, very nice.

I concur, the map placed me in a fine defensive position, although being a necro you had your flying units as well, able to cross the same blocked water seperating us.

In the beginning we were pretty even, me without any heroes which tended to die to fast.  But I managed to stop chokepoints into my realm using recruits from inns and could build up cities and domain etc. while you vere locked into a few cities.

Looking forward to play another time.

After a tactical mistake that brought my only stack that can cross water close to 2 separate stacks of Badborre, he had a real easy time to wipe it out.

As there is no way for me to expand and the only two gateways to Badborre are easily controlled by him, it is pointless to go on ....

Unfortunately I cannot resist to mention that this map was so incredibly unbalanced and unfair, that I should have stopped after 2 turns and object.

Again, this by no means shall doubt or question badborres deserved win and superior gameplay!

Day 37 - Evil lurks across the river.... Planning for the great purge with magical fire.

Im not so happy with the map as Im surrounded by blocked water. So I think Sorcerer with it´s wisps and flying hero has a big advantage.

Other than that, great game pace!

Hybris. Now I bathe in my own chilled blood. Cowardly frostlings hiding in snow returning, taking the city. Taking a nap in the void, planning another way in...

Turn 9 - First blood, a small frozen outpost has fallen. Meanwhile the enemy lurks trying to capture troops from a undefended inn...

badborre, the images here are very small, I cannot see if you activated Ironman, could you please confirm? (next time, please try to upload bigger pictures) You can use the "Insert image" button in the text editor (when you type gaming blogs, the 2 lines of icons above) or the "Attachment" tool (below the zone where you type text) which allow to insert the image in your text after it's uploaded.

didnt remember to take a screenshot of the sliders with water, diggable walls etc, but they are where the should be.

The settings you are supposed to provide are the water sliders, etc.

If Castaneda did not join the game yet, it would be much better if you could delete the current one and recreate one with screenshots for the settings. Better still if you can be in windowed mode so that we can check the time when the screenshot are taken (we will ask that for round 2, forgot to ask it to everyone for round 1).

Wow! Congratz Olop, this time it was you who made the fastest victory in the round!

A bit sad that the match goes like that but we've seen that early can be critical in this tournament.

Lousy start. initial army couldnt clear the nearest mines etc. lots almost all my men in the round just before olop arrived. no resistance from me at all in this. good luck with the tourney, all

A tigran scout was able to capture my throne in turn three,
but my army was close enough to retake it in turn four.  My
army marched south along the road the scout used and
found the tigran wizard building a fortress in turn nine.  I
had the enemy king outnumbered and won the battle quickly.
The next turn my original scout found an empty tigran throne
city and captured it.

Allready in turn 4 gab found me. in turn 7 he sneakattacked and took my capitol. my army rushed home ready turn 8 to take it back but sadly he had a rather huge army there allready with 11 units. game over, before the game was almost started. sad, and quick
