DrLight vs Rippjack
On turn 28 the game officially started for me. By this time, I had finished exploring all the local treasure sites and my cities were starting to pump out T2 class & race units. I had set up 2 stacks of armies at this time but had still not located DrLight. So I sent one stack to the southwest to explore a cave entrance while sending my other stack to the northwest to find and take out an animal lair that was sending stacks down to attack my cities. Earlier, irregulars I had sent to the northeast uncovered a hostile independent undead city so I knew DrLight wasn’t up that way.
On turn 30, my UG stack was defeated. I heavily damaged DrLight’s stack, but the results were disappointing. Will be sending my other stack UG shortly.
On turn 32, DrLight sends scouts to confirm location of my throne city Crystalholm which I proceed to defeat and drive off.
After sending 2 of my 3 stacks down UG, I spot DrLight’s main boss army on turn 36. His army is too powerful so I move my stack towards my throne city to defend until can bring my other stacks back.
Turn 41. DrLight’s main stack with leader has now taken 2 of my 3 cities. However, I have brought my two stacks up to meet with the third and counterattack. This is for all the marbles ladies and gentlemen!
Success! Not only do I defeat his main stack with his leader (no more druid summoning for a few turns) but I also retake my city and resume monster hunter production there. Looks like this game will stumble on for a few more turns.
On turn 51, DrLight finishes taking all of my cities and defeats my leader, who I had sent UG to attack his cities there. Good game!

Good match! Thank you Rippjack!
We were both Dwarves, I started UG and Rippjack was surface, my scouting was not very good as I was AD, so it took me a long time to find Rippjack. I lost a Theocrat hero somewhere in the beginning, which was bad, I wanted to cry... But I had a good set of baby animals with my leader which went out to gain exp, and eventually I was able to get a couple tier IV snakes... In the meantime I had a necro hero and another AD hero near my territory that were trying to get some exp.
My economy as always struggling for some reason, I wanted to expand to the surface, but I couldn't, I had some indies harassing me that delayed that intent...
The first time I found Rippjack, I was taking some structures in the UG, and by pure luck I found myself near his hero and a full stack, so I decided to attack him, which had a good outcome for me.
Next few turns, I started to approach his territory, found an Archon Dwelling that he didn't vassilize, did the quest and took it... By this time, he was heading with his leader and a huge army of MH to my territory, which I was a little scared of tbh, I didn't think I had enough army to defeat it in my territory, Then on the other front I was feeling invincible with my 2 snakes and a titan and went a head with a single stack and attacked him, taking and razing one outpost and taking his second city... I was scouting him and knew that he had retreated his main stack to defend himself, but I wasn't expecting him to be that close, so next turn, with me in a very bad position, attacked him with all his MHs and killed my snakes, my leader and my titan... very sad day for my AD... =(.. I think that was a great move from Rippjack... He recovered his second city...
I had my other AD hero nearby, and I had to retreat him, because he was going to be destroyed by his MHs... In the UG, I tried to take a LK castle with my necro, and lost my hero 1 bear and a gold medal hunter =(... So I kept that heroless stack there to defend as I knew he was now going to attack me after securing his cities...
I had to wait a little bit to attack him again, but this time I was able to get some shamans that I leveled up to gold medal, converted a few animals and had gargantuan which got me a poison snake... with this and my AD stack when ahead and attacked him... He was heading to my territory with his main stack, which I don't think he had scouted me before, because he didn't take a direct route to my city, that gave me time to assemble my troops and wait for him.
A few turns later I attacked his throne with my main stacks, took it without too many loses, and then tried to attack his leader with my heroless stack just to finish the game and defeated his leader.
Thank you Rippjack for the game! very well played, let me know if you want to play again.
