River rapids basically cut the map in half and made it unpassable except for flyers. I had to watch out for the Sorcerer's flying heroes and summons. There was really only one land route (through a Giant dwelling that I bought as vassal). So little or no room for smart strategy - I basically couldn't go anywhere else with my land based army so I headed in straight after being able to obtain some strong T3 units, mainly through quests. I took a city and decided to hold and plunder it, badly needing cash to sustain my large army. The Sorcerer came in to reclaim it. The final battle involved all of our leaders / heroes (my stacks: 6/6/5 vs. his 6/6/2) was a Probable Victory when I finally attacked -- but still close I saw in replay, and a classic "shock vs. melee" battle. Both leaders ended up in the void. But my surviving force was too strong, included both heroes and a few Knights & was now too close to Bethrezen's capital and he surrendered the turn after - which was nothing but reasonable.

Ok! Who won? The winner can report through the "Report game" link or direct link: http://www.the-battlefield.co... />(the loser can also do it but usually it's the winner)
Yes indeed, I gave that information away and only read the notice afterwards. I reckoned (from the log) that the class & race was already declared to you by us both - only remaining the advantage of knowing early what an opponent is about, and perhaps in the choice of magic schools (especially if a race has certain weaknesses).
Ah well, I'm still learning how to use this site. Will make sure to leave it open next time :-)
Hi guys! Were you able to start? @Pothead Pixie: I hope your opponent didn't see it but you shouldn't update your class / race on this page until the match is finished... Everyone can see it. (as I said in my previous message: "(obviously, do not update the "unknown" field with the class / race here; you will update it after the match is finished)")
Cannot play... after "wait for start", the session screen mentions it's my turn and at the same time it's NOT my turn (timer expired). Duh. Left the session, but could not rejoin (game not in list anymore). Retry?
If you could rehost, yes please - same settings except fast combat not enforced. Thanks! Unfortunately Fast Combat is no personal setting (like resolution), this would be better.
Don't think we need a password on the game, but if you use one please let me know what it is.
Pothead confirmed his class / race to me, you're ready to go after Bethrezen posts the screenshots of the settings here! Remember that Pothead needs to be 1st player.
(obviously, do not update the "unknown" field with the class / race here; you will update it after the match is finished)
In order to avoid advantaging one player or the other, for each match, the player who will host the match has been randomly selected. The first player in the "turn order" above (who is also the player at the top in the tree here: index.php?page=tourneyroster&tourneyid=2 must host the game. Please sign off when not playing!(Quit game) Tournament Game #3 Round 1 !
When players do not show up for their match, the Tournament Judges have the right to change the match!
I'm waiting for Lck to host the game, and punt here printscreens. @ Lck: if you can put this setting also "force high speed tactical combat" , thanks -Â i wait a sign.
