Good game, traded bases, got a lot of vassals so the economy didn't hurt me.
I'm not normally a big fan of rogue, but this match ended up being pretty interesting in the early game. I feel like I was doing the same thing as you, but slower. Possibly because I was focused more on building up my empire, which made the base trade at the end a questionable decision. Well played.
I was disappointed in how poorly my crow assault on your capital went. I didn't realise just how bad they were against Tigran Sun Guards. That's probably just inexperience on my part.
Good game and well played. The first conquering went to you and the last to me, so kind of fair
I was kind of slow to get bard out, but who knew, 3 bards and 3 tigran sunguards make a nice group, and ended up bringing me 2 vassals and countless of recruits. Played pure good and managed to reach it around turn 30, helped with releasing my cities as vassals as Mauve attacked.
Thanks for game, was a good one with nice tempo between turns.
Got it, thanks!
Just an fyi the server seems to be really slow these days. It takes me several minutes to download my turns in most of my games. At this moment I can't even access my PBEM list since the server can't be contacted. I'll try to do my turn again in the morning. Hopefully things will be sorted out.
Aside from AoW stuff, I haven't noticed any issues with my internet at all, so I don't think the issue is on my end.
Great.

I set it up according to the tournament link. Only thing I didn't do was enforce the turn timer.
The game uses both the balance mod and the strong defenders mod.
I put myself in the second slot since I made the game. Not sure if that's how that works (and I know it isn't necessary for a casual/non-tournament match like this) but it seemed like the appropriate thing to do.

1v1 duel settings?
I think I last played on Battlefield about 4 years ago. At that time I participated in a 1v1 tournament and liked the settings for that. I'm sure they've changed a bit since then, but I'd like to use whatever the current standard settings are for that kind of thing.
Also, I'm probably the bottom tier of competitive if that makes sense. I'm mostly just trying to get experience and figure things out.
These are my current settings, but I'll change them when I make the actual game if people tell me about any changes that occured to the format.
Small map with underground.
Starting town: village.
Starting units: medium.
All other settings: average. (Is average distance okay? Should it be long?)
Geography:
Slightly reduced wetlands, barrens, and mountains.
Greatly reduced diggable and undiggable walls.
Even more reduced water.
Unifier victory: 2 beacons.
No seals victory.
Starting skills: none.
Defenders: strong.
Max hero level: 20.
Heroes don't match player race.
I think all other settings are on the default.
I also usually play on random map type when playing against the AI, but I think Continents is probably the competitive standard. Again, let me know if Land/Islands are also okay, or if they are imbalanced.
Final warning: I usually play a "random new" leader (I don't pick my race/class/specialisations). This is mostly because I want to experience/test different parts of the game that I wouldn't necessarily use if I was trying to win at all costs. I do try my best to win once I'm in the game though. If you're looking for a super-serious opponent, I'm probably not the best choice.

Updated rules
Thanks for that.
It looks like this game will also be running the Strong Defenders Normal Rewards mod since I've never tried that one out before.
The rules I'll be using to make the match once someone joins are listed here:

Hi!
Have a look at the Duel Tournament rules and you should find the “standard†settings for the majority of duels atm.
