After Counterbore quitted (he was kicked out after some weeks inactivity), deckdisz was beaten from Indies, thorgal and me have an end fight. Thorgal was stronger, had more Units and cities, but my hero stack was great. Had an item with ghul and some others nice items. Against this hero stack, he had no Chance more. Got some ghuls and have beaten him on a neutral elf City. Then he has given up. Good game, again a beginner game with friendly Players (peace, no rush and maybe good Players will get a handicap?)

Oh I practice everyday all day, but indeed, the real human enemies I need to take on more! It's a pity most PBEM games just take so damn long to wait for and the realtime games are kinda hard to fit into my life as a young father. But we'll meet again soon! I'll be back, and better!

I suppose I got whooped by independents while in the Void. I'm slowly, surely, hopefully, getting accustomed to playing actual real people, whereas most of my experience with aow3 sofar has been to reload my savegames if they didn't turn out as good as I hoped. In most of my multiplayer games, unleast up till now,  it doesn't take long for me to see my heroes, and my leader, getting slaughter by Tier I enemies I just didn't see coming. I need to be way more careful I guess. It really hampers gameplay to lose one's leader in the first turn.. <smiletext6>
So the match is really starting now, I suppose? Good luck to both of you!
