Yes, that's what I was mentioning earlier. Even if you change back slot, it will still crash, it's an issue with AoW3.
So, sorry but please rehost and put yourself directly in slot #2. I'll be easier in next round now that you know everything.

Ok, I didn't pay attention to it before but you need to be on slot #2. Changing slot without re-hosting might cause an issue when your opponent joins, so you might have to re-host in the end, we'll see.

- map size should be Small Square and not Small
- you need to activate "Teams" and put the two players in two teams so that you start at war

@sswdidi: some stuff to change on the hosting:
- please set your language to English when you host (you can revert later) so that I can understand the screenshots
- you need to activate "Teams" and put the two players in two teams so that you start at war
- missing several screenshots, check out other game blog's screenshots to see what needs to be provided

it seems you don't have the DLCs, right? Then Anarch should host (if he has them).
Also, a special rule due to some bugs with AoW3: please don't put the turn timer at start, you should start the timer only after the first turn has been played. I'll explain later in the Tournament Player Pool.

Also, do you confirm you are playing with the Tournament Edition mod and the Strong Defenders Normal Rewards mod?
